I discovered my passion for jewelry making while in the midst of a career in the fashion world. I was influenced greatly while designing for Calvin Klein and time spent there honed an eye for choosing luxurious, sensuous materials and putting them to work in clean, modern, sculptural forms.
The majority of the collection is hand wrought in 22k gold, in a small artisan workshop in NYC—even the simple, timeless hoops are worked one piece at a time by hand. In working out each design, I strive for balance in fabricating jewelry with classic, elegant proportions, while keeping a certain earthy rawness derived from gentle finishing techniques, and carefully chosen gemstones.
Credit goes to design director Toyo Kurokawa for her talent and inspiration, and for the quality of each piece that leaves the workshop.
Running the company in an environmentally responsible way is a priority—we are continually working to conserve energy, reduce waste, and recycle the precious metals we work with. The studio is a multicultural workplace, in which the rights and contributions of each employee is respected.
Thank you for your interest in the work.
